hi there,
We have 3500 switches in my network and it is End of life and support also. now we are planning for chassis base layer 2 switches.
we have 1000 ports network , so please suggest me which chassis are available with cisco

I will always suggest with 6500 chassis , although other chassis like 4500 are availble.
I tell you with proper configuration, 6500 chassis fits at any layer starting from access,distribution,core.
You get all options for WAN , LAN & Security.
You get enoigh port density.
For IP Telephony/VoIP , this would be ideal switch..

The 4500 chassis series using the various sup-II supervisors offer L2, but most of the newer variants supervisors also support L3 switching, such as the 4500 with the sup-IV/V/6, the 6500 series with the sup32/sup32-PISA/sup720/VSS. There's also the Nexus 7000 series, but its oriented for high density 10 gig.
Besides chassis switches, you might also consider the stackable 3750 and 3750-E.
