Hi All,
We have a 2620XM we use for an access server that until recently has been as solid as a rock. Without reason it just started crashing during the boot up sequence and displaying crash info files. Looking into this it would seem the problem is a SEG-V issue which I understand is almost always software issues. So, we went into Rommon mode and loaded the IOS from our TFTP server which should clear out flash and therefore any corrupt files. Unfortunately we still can not get the router to boot up.
Image decompresses OK and router follows through boot sequence without hanging, but will not complete the sequence and just keeps on cycling until we power off.
The router is running a very simple config just to run as an access server and no other function.
Any ideas anyone...

Replace the RAM chips.

We replaced the RAMM but this was not the issue. It seems the problem is with the onboard flash, which I understand can be upgraded by adding additional memory modules. For now we configured another 2620XM as a workaround and will investigate the flash issue in a spare moment.
Thanks for your help.
