server having two NIC connected to two different layer 2 switch

Hello

Attach is the image file showing server having two different NIC connected to two different Layer 2 switch. Now my query

 

1) How in packet tracer we can use NIC teaming in server

2) if suppose one link goes down how it can transfer it to other link as shown in the image file

 

Please advice

this is usually achieved by using port channels, so your 2 server NICs are in the same port channel. with nexus switches you can run the port channel between two different switches using vpc. and vss as the "older vairiant". the 2960's you have spun up, are not capable of this, only a port channel into a single switch to a single server

Thanks Dennis for the reply, I am using Packet Tracer and in packet tracer there is no option to do NIC teaming on a Server. Now should I use the following IP address as follows:
Server0
NIC1: 10.1.11.14/24
NIC2: 10.1.11.15/24

Please advice

i am not an expert on the use of packet tracer, but putting 2 ip addresses on two separate NICs. will not provide link redudancy because one NIC responds to one IP and NIC 2 to the other. VMWARE on the other hand can NICteam no problem.
