Service TimeStamps Command Not Working

Hi All,

I am using a Cisco 3560 Switch and I have observed that "show clock" displays the correct time as mine but when I check logs, it shows the time 5 Hours behind me. It can be considered as the switch is showing time related to GMT timezone as where I live, timezone is GMT +5. To counter this and show logs with time as per my local timezone i tried running the following command:

service timestamps log datetime localtime

This command has worked for me on other switches but this specific switch is giving invalid marker at "service". Is there any other way or any solution to this?

This is odd, can you show us an example of the difference.

post the output of

show clock

show run  | in clock

show ntp status

show version

post the logs in which you see the discrepancy ?

Compare the IOS version working vs not working
