session hang when "show interface status"

We have several Cisco 3750 switches running Version 12.2(25) in our environment.  I have experienced on occasion when I initiate  the sh int status command on a switch stack containing five 3750 switches, it displays a few pages and then the entire session freezes.  I have to disconnect the session.

What would cause this?

Does this happen on console, terminal or both? if console, are you plugging into the master? if terminal have you tried a different one? When you log back in do you see a spike in CPU i.e. 

switch#show processes cpu history

Have you tried outputting it to a file instead?  switch# sh int status > bootflash:output.txt
