Hi,
I have 3 subnetworks 2 wireless and 1 wired. I have enabled the ip http server on the router but when I try to access it it prompts me for a username and password I tried the usual default but that doesn't work. What else do I need to do?
thanks

Try below.
R1(config)#aaa new-model R1(config)#aaa authentication login default local R1(config)#username test secret testpass R1(config)#ip http authentication local R1(config)#ip http secure-server

Thanks for the help. However it now it says it can't be reached. You wouldn't happen to know an example set up of the this entire process? I feel as though I've missed more previous steps.

Make sure client -to-server connection is up and reachable.
Here you go!
Hope this helps.

Hi
If you are going to use local credentials you need to disable aaa new model
Example:
no aaa new-model
username Cisco privilege 15 password Cisco123
ip http secure-server
ip http authentication local
ip http port 80

Hi Ed,
Is this a 38502 switch you are trying to reach via HTTP?
Regards!

No, I'm trying to give access to the router gui to all of the subnetworks that I have set up.
