We are having some network slowdown issues and have a question: Will an unmanaged switch such as an SF110-24 slow down to the speed of the slowest device connected to it? We have some gigabit speed devices connected to a switch with a couple of older legacy 10/100 devices are curious if that will slow down the other devices.

The SG110-24 specs say it has HOL Blocking Prevention as a built in feature.

Usually, some ports running at a lower "speed" shouldn't impact "faster" speed ports. But, note the word "usually".
Much depends on the architecture of the switch, and the traffic flows going through it.
For example, if the switch's architecture has HoL (head of line blocking), traffic waiting on one port, while queued, might block traffic on another port or ports. Such HoL blocking was pretty common years ago - might still be common on less expensive switches.
I cannot say (for lack of knowing) what the situation is with your SF110-24.

That is more information than I have been able to find elsewhere. Thank you. We have a mixed network of A/V and controls, about 14 devices and some run gigabit and some are megabit. We are trying to ascertain whether the megabit devices would slow down the overall switch speed.
