Hi Patrick,
SFP-10G-SR is supported in the 3850 switches from IOS version 3.2.0 SE onwards. Please refer Table 4 in the following link for reference.

Thanks Arun,
What image are the 3850s currently being shipped with? Also, I thought the 3850s use the new XE software, no?
Thank you

Hi Patrick,
The 3850 switches were shipped with 3.2.0SE by default some time back. I am not sure if the factory installed version has changed recently. However, our suggestion is to use 3.3.2 (stable release) as major bugs have been fixed starting from this IOS version.
Regards,
Arun

Arun,
don't the 3850s run the XE image instead of IOS?
Also, are you saying that before vers 3.2.0SE, 3850s did not support the SFP-10G-SR Gbic?
Thank you

Hi Patrick,
Yes, the 3850's does run the XE image. We refer it as IOS-XE images. No, the SFP-10G-SR is supported only from the mentioned release.
Thanks,
Arun
