Hi, we have a stack of 2 x WS-C3750X-48P switches with a 10 gigabit module in each: When I run a show inventory I can see everything except for the LRM SFP within the 10 gigabit module in the second stack member. See below:

Where is the second LRM? The inventory command doesn't show it.

It is a Cisco LRM just like the one in slot TE 1/1/1 but it doesn't show up.

Appears to be a bug :)

Hello,

Have you tried to move the SFP-10G-LRM that is not recognize to another module (swap it with the working one).

This will tells you if the module might be faulty or if it is the SFP.

Have a good day.

Hi, this is a cosmetic error. The SFP is working and is actively a part of the etherchannel. I just can't see the SFP when I run a "show inventory". So, I believe it to be a cosmetic bug

Was it by chance hot inserted?  If so, I bet it will appear on the next switch reboot.

Hi, originally it was but the switches have been power reset on a number of occasions since.

Please note the SFP is working fine, we just can't see it in "show inventory" and thus we can't see the serial number for maintenance purposes.

I know it's an old thread but maybe someone is still searching for the answer:

so : first enter "session 2" command to enter on the CLI of  switch 2 from stack , then  when in the CLI of switch 2 : "show inventory"

Hi friend,

Try to check with the comman show inventory (raw|entity) these are more specific

raw

(Optional) Retrieves information about all of the Cisco products—referred to as entities—installed in the Cisco networking device, even if the entities do not have a product ID (PID) value, a unique device identifier (UDI), or other physical identification.

entity

(Optional) Name of a Cisco entity (for example, chassis, backplane, module, or slot). A quoted string may be used to display very specific UDI information; for example "sfslot 1" will display the UDI information for slot 1 of an entity named sfslot.

Hope solve the problem
