Hi,
Output for show int gig x/y shows the following output what type of module is installed ?
GigabitEthernet0/49 is up, line protocol is up (connected)
Hardware is Gigabit Ethernet, address is 0022.bd97.34b1 (bia 0022.bd97.34b1)
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1000000 Kbit, DLY 10 usec,
reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
Keepalive not set
Full-duplex, 1000Mb/s, link type is auto, media type is 1000BaseCX SFP Cable ---------------> what type of module is this one?
input flow-control is off, output flow-control is unsupported
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Last input 00:00:00, output 00:00:23, output hang never
Pls. share the experience.

Or is it a cable (patch chord) with SFP modules attached at the end. So we need to just plug these in the switch.

Please run the following command and this will show you the exact SFP part details.
show int G0/49 capabilities
* This output of this command will have the SFP model details.
