I'm having a hard time setting up my homelab. this is what I want to achieve :
two separate vlans
VLAN10 for work-related stuff
VLAN20 for home-related stuff
the SG200 located in my techroom in the basement and the SG250 located in my study
have a single, trunked connection between the switch in the basement and the switch on my desktop
port GE1-3 on the SG250-08 beeing in VLAN20
port GE01-06 and GE25-30 on the SG200-50 beeing in VLAN20
port GE4-6 on the SG250-08 beeing in VLAN10
port GE13-18 and GE37-42 on the SG200-50 beeing in VLAN10
port GE8 on the SG250-08 as the trunkport
port GE50 on the SG200-50 as the trunkport.
I have googled, looked at youtube videos for the last several days and can not for the life of me get the setup to work. I am 100% certain that it is my lacking knowledge that makes me overlook something, but I'm in desperate need for some assistance. See attached screenshot for how I have set it up right now.
If I connect two PC's in port 13 and 14 on the SG200 they can ping each other. If I connect port GE8 on the 250 to port 50 on the SG200, and one PC in port 4 on the SG250 the ping dies.
Screenshots from the SG250 and from the SG200-50 are attached.
