SG300-10SFP transceiver compatibility

Hi all,

I have an SG300-10SFP.  Can someone confirm if a 10G SFP+ module will work in this switch?  I'm unable to ascertain if they will run at the lower speed of 1G.

The transceiver in question is an Intel FTLX8571D3BCVIT1.

I've plugged one in and I'm not getting a link light on the switch.

I appreciate I am plugging an SFP+ module into an SFP port!

Hello,

it won't work. SFP+ does not support 1Gigabit speeds.

Thanks for the reply and confirming. I was just a bit confused as when I looked on the switch and the optic details I could see it displaying the temperature etc so wasn’t too sure what was going on!
