Hello,
we have a stack of 6 "SG500-52P" switches.
Connected via SFP-H10GB-Cu1M cable.
Interface Speed is 5Gb/s.
FW is 1.4.9.4
Boot Version is 1.4.0.02
Stackmode is Native Stacking.
Ring Topology, Layer 2 Mode and 4 Queues.
EEE is off.
For the past weeks we keep getting network failures.
Last night we filmed the whole stack with a camera and we documented that the LED for the Master Switch on Switch1 went off and on, for about a second.
Thats when a network failure actually happened.
Incidentally we saw that the LEDs of the Stackportcable between switch 4 and 5 is solid green, all the other LEDs of the Stackportcables are blinking.
We already swapped the Stackportcable between switch 4 and 5 with a factory new one but it didnt solve the problem, while it's still solid green.
Stack Topology:
S1 -> S2
S2 -> S3
S3 -> S4
S4 -> S5
S5 -> S6
S6 -> S1
Any suggestions?

as both S2 and S3 report the connection down i would suggest to check/replace the cable between S2 and S3
the link between 4 and 5 is equal distance from S1 (master) and steady light means no error, but similar like STP blocking port.

Thanks for your Reply pieter
Yes, The cable from S3 to S4 has already been replaced.
With no success.
Would it be an idea to disable STP on Stacking Ports?
Is it even possible?
