shape command

I have a catalyst 3560-cx and the shape command appears to be not implemented. I receive the following:

Policy-map class configuration commands:

exit

no

police

service-policy

set

trust

Is there any work around to this? I need Ingress and Egress shaping.

I'm not current on a 3560-cx, but in general shapers are not supported for ingress on any device and on other 3560s (and 3750s) they don't support policy shaping for egress.  However, they do have a port "shaper" feature (may require activation of QoS, and it's not very exact - also it's not called a shaper, it's the srr-queue bandwidth limit command), they also support, with activation of QoS, SRR shaping on their 4, per interface, hardware queues.

Thanks Joseph. The switch does have the full IP Base license. I do have srr-queue bandwidth limit command. I will read up on that and see if it works for my application.
