Hello...can someone explain to me why the last input of this active port shows never.
FastEthernet0/6 is up, line protocol is up (connected)
Last input never, output 00:00:00, output hang never
9622019 packets output, 740900442 bytes, 0 underruns
The other interface from the same switch (C2960) shows the expected outcome:
FastEthernet0/11 is up, line protocol is up (connected)
Last input 00:00:43, output 00:00:00, output hang never
1023135 packets input, 94092343 bytes, 0 no buffer
Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge with me.

Hi,
What device is connected on that port and how is it connected to the switches? Is it using dual nics or teaming? Could be a device that just receives data on one ports and sends out another port.
Thanks
John

HI John, even though it allows voice Vlan, only a Dell PC is connected directly to this port . And it doesn't use dual nics or teaming.
interface FastEthernet0/6
description *User VLAN*
switchport access vlan 10
switchport mode access
switchport nonegotiate
switchport voice vlan 600
switchport port-security maximum 3
switchport port-security
switchport port-security aging time 3
switchport port-security violation restrict
switchport port-security aging type inactivity
no logging event link-status
load-interval 30
srr-queue bandwidth share 10 10 50 30
priority-queue out
no snmp trap link-status
no mdix auto
storm-control broadcast level 1.00
spanning-tree portfast
service-policy input set-dscp-SQ
end
Thanks - D

Hi,
Is that PC used for anything special? It could be the PC receives more data than it sends. Some operating systems like Linux generate very little traffic when idle depending on their configuration.
Thanks
John
