Hi,
Due to maintenance work in the data center, I need to shut down two cisco WS-C6506-E. Both of them have FWSM modules installed and one of them also has a NAM module. Which is the best/safest way to shut them down? I was thinking in doing like this:
1- Shut down NAM module using hw-module module 4 shutdown command.
2- Shut down FWSM module using hw-module module 1 shutdown command.
3- Shut down the two power supplies of each switch. Is it right? Is it better to just unplugged the device?
If this is correct, how long should I wait beetween each of the steps? I've already checked that the NAM stops answering to ping very fast after issuing the hw-module module 4 shutdown command. However, I'm not sure if it's still doing things and I should wait before shutting down other modules or the chassis.
Once I want to turn it on again. Is it enough to turn on the power supplies or do the modules need to be turned on individually?
Thanks in advance.

KISS.
Issue the command "reload", count to 3. Power down the chassis.

Thank you.
Which is the best way to power down the chassis, unplugged it or turn off the power supplies?

Power it off.
