Hi All, I want to simulate the HA of C9400 using StackWise Virtual but I cant seem to find any software that I can use. I have GNS3 and CML. So the question, is C9400 can be simulated or not?

@HakimMusthaza hi, unfortunately this is isnt available in CML yet. CML have 9000V. GNS3 i am not sure.

I'm sure, above is a simple typo, and what was meant was: "hi, unfortunately this isn't available in CML yet. CML have 9000V. GNS3 i am not sure."

Thank you for the info

no C9400 in CML; switching is hard to simulate 'cause of ASICs is hardware; whatever u have in CML, like 9000 image is also a beta or experimental image.
Check DevNet sandbox , online rental , to see what can u do in case of StackWise Virtual
https://developer.cisco.com/site/sandbox/

Correct me if I am wrong, as far as I know, DevNet Sandbox only allow 1 device to simulate.

BTW, just curious, purpose of this simulation need for HA?
Reason I ask, as StackWise Virtual appears, on a network, as a single device, it can be "simulated", for HA, using a single device.

The reason is just I want to experience on how the SVL functioning on C9400 for future deployment

Its expected functioning is well described by Cisco, for example.
Basically, you have little control over its functioning, beyond providing it physical links to use.
Ideally, it should be passing very little data traffic except when covering loss of links on one of the stack members. However, in case of such a lost, and/or by poor design, it's not too difficult to bump into SVL congestion.
Personally, I don't see much benefit in using some form of simulation to support future deployment of this technology.

Why do you want to simulate the Chassis? No simulator provides this functionality so far. What is the use case here?
Best if you want to test, you can use dcloud to check which instance you can test.
CML 2.9.1 have Cat9K but limited Features; they are not ready to test even SVL here. (so my best is dcloud)
