Single Mode Trans-receiver between 9200 and 2960

Hello Team,

I need some help in confirming if we buy GLC-LH-SMD which is 1000BASE-LX/LH SFP transceiver module, MMF/SMF, 1310nm, DOM  and we are using single mode Fiber which will connect between 2960 and 9200 switches.

Is this SFP is compatible for Single mode Fiber cable? Yes it says MMF/SMF so wanted to confirm it.

and another one can we use SFP trans-receiver in SFP+ port?

Much Appreciate responses.

GLC-LH-SM= 1000BASE-LX/LH SFP transceiver module for MMF and SMF, 1300-nm wavelength, dual LC/PC connector

BB - yes this measn if you have lower distance as per MMF, you can use same SFP, but if the distance is more than MMF specification, then you can run SMF to meet the requirement.

depends on the moduels and device you purchased, check the datasheet has compatability for the SFP+
