Site to site vpn tunnel in cisco router

Hi all,

We want to setup S2S tunnel between cisco 2811 and 2911 router . In 2811 router we do have vpn modules . In 2911 router show version output , we are not seeing the vpn modules.

So , in order to support the S2S tunnel , whther it should have vpn moules ? what license it should have ? what ios image it should have?

Hardware acceleration is embedded in ISR G2 routers (2901-2951). You need sec license to activate IPsec features

Also the IOS is universal 15.x. You just need to activate specific features using license i mentioned above, Just make sure you dont buy NPE version accidentally

I think you need a IOS ended with K9 to be installed in your router.

you need  SL-29-SEC-K9 Security License for Cisco 2901-2951 router to setup VPN tunnels.
