Slow throughput on 3750

Hello,

We get less than 4 Mbits/sec of throughput on an iperf test when connected via a 3750x. The same client, running the same test to the same iperf server gets about 40 Mbits/sec of throughput when connected via a 4507 or when connected via a Cisco 3850, 3560x, or 3560cg. Can't seem to figure out the reason for this. Thanks in advance!

3750x or any other L3 switches have acceptable forward rate and back plane to handle lots of packets! Yes, lots of. Have you checked your cpu and memory and also inbound and out band traffic on involved interfaces?

you can check memory and cpu with  show process cpu sorted and show process memory sorted commands. You can also check average traffic using show interface command or monitor them using SNMP.

BTW, are sure about your cabling ? connectors and ,,,,? I mean, are they totally the same in your test environment?
