Smart Licensing on Cisco 3850 switches

Hi Guys,

i am having below query.

i have one 3850 switch where smart license is unregistered. 

sw#sh license summary
Smart Licensing is ENABLED

Registration:
Status: UNREGISTERED
Export-Controlled Functionality: NOT ALLOWED

License Authorization:
Status: EVAL EXPIRED

License Usage:
License Entitlement tag Count Status
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
(C3850-48 IP Base) 4 EVAL EXPIRED

I want to know what is the impact on switch if i do not registered smart license. Currently no impact on connected users.

Hi,

There will be no impact without smart registration as you can install the license locally.

(C3850-48 IP Base) 4 EVAL EXPIRED

Per the above line, your EVAL license had expired. So, you may want to install a permanent license locally on this switch.
