All,
I am looking at setting up SNMP v3 traps on my routers and switches. What software is commonly used to collect (and notify) of the SNMP traps from Cisco devices? I cannot seem to find a clear cut answer, or someone saying, "This is the best SNMP trap collector on the market and it works great with Cisco products." I don't mind if it's free or if it's paid. I don't mind if it's Windows or Linux based, I just need something surefire.
Thank you, all!

Hi,
Are you looking for a management software to collect traps and send alerts?
If yes, you can try SolarWinds NMP. You can use it for evaluation for 30 or 60 days and if you like it you can purchase it.

Reza,
Thanks for the suggestion! I had read about Solarwinds NMP. I didn't know if there are any other big competitors out there. But, I'll give 'em a shot. Thanks again!

Hi,
There are a lot of companies out there that provide the same thing, but SolarWinds has pretty good software modules for different functions to use. In addition, the pricing seems reasonable.I also like their support.

Okay, cool. I'll download 'em and see what I get. We're looking at their LEM for log aggregation and reports, so hopefully they will bundle everything together. Ha!
Thanks again!
