Can anyone explain the software release cycle for native IOS to me?
eg - what's the difference between 12.2(18)SX1 & SX6 - is it just bug fixes?
what's the difference between SXE and SXF?
Why does it never reach GD?
Cheers, Dom

Last sentence from this document:
A number appended to the X release (for example, Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0(2)XC1), indicates a rebuild of that release (in this case Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0(2)XC) caused by a catastrophic defect

Hope that helps rate if it does
