Dear all Cisco experts!

I am spinning my head with these 2 network topology.

My new company has 700 employees in head quarter. Ex IT Admin guy did not configure the network according to High Availability, therefore Board of Director had to accept 1 hour downtime whenever network devices that malfunctioned.

Now I must propose a High Availability topology with condition of 5 mins downtime. I have already made 2 design options but I don't know whether it is okay

What device is peering with the providers? Is that layer-3? Are you running BGP or static route with the providers.

Also, you can simply stack the 2 3850 switches to eliminate STP on the core and than connect them to the firewall. Connect the firewalls to 2900 routers and use the 2900 to peer with the providers.

Dear Reza,

Thanks for your suggestion.

I have just modified my design as your idea.

How do you think about it?

Now the Topoly looks better.

One question on the top of North side, you have ISP router connected to 2960 Switch, is this single device or Stacked Switch ?

if it is stacked will give you more redundency.
