Hey everyone. CCNA R&S here.
I have a potential client of mine that sometimes has issues with routing sound/video (for control systems) over ethernet. Some of the protocols include QLAN (proprietary by QSC) and Dante protocol (by Audinate).
I was wondering if anyone has experience with setting up networks to work with said devices? What kind of work/setup is needed?
I was told that Multicast routing, VLAN's, and QoS would need to be setup on L4 switches. (L3 switches for smaller setups)- this is due to the control signals also being on the network, and you wouldn't want the control signals to disrupt the UDP network traffic.
Thanks!

Are these protocols fully layer 3 compatible, i.e. do they run over IP. Can you explain a bit about it?

Check this out. It's QSC Networking guide, and includes some Dante pieces in there too:
