Hi Everyone,
I have stack of 2 cables.
I connected 2 ports of switch with each other as shwon below
3750TS#sh cdp nei
Capability Codes: R - Router, T - Trans Bridge, B - Source Route Bridge
S - Switch, H - Host, I - IGMP, r - Repeater, P - Phone,
D - Remote, C - CVTA, M - Two-port Mac Relay
Device ID Local Intrfce Holdtme Capability Platform Port ID
3750TS Gig 2/0/2 154 S I WS-C3750- Gig 1/0/2
3750TS Gig 2/0/1 148 S I WS-C3750- Gig 1/0/1
3750TS Gig 1/0/2 157 S I WS-C3750- Gig 2/0/2
3750TS Gig 1/0/1 148 S I WS-C3750- Gig 2/0/1
Its running Rapid STP.
3750TS#sh spanning-tree int gi
3750TS#sh spanning-tree int gigabitEthernet 2/0/1
Vlan Role Sts Cost Prio.Nbr Type
------------------- ---- --- --------- -------- --------------------------------
VLAN0001 Back BLK 4 128.55 P2p
3750TS#sh spanning-tree int gigabitEthernet 2/0/2
Vlan Role Sts Cost Prio.Nbr Type
------------------- ---- --- --------- -------- --------------------------------
VLAN0001 Back BLK 4 128.56 P2p
3750TS#
These two ports are in blocking and have Amber light as they are in blocking state.
So need to confirm on stack of 2 switches if we connect cables between each other it block the one side as it consider it as loop as in stack
it sees it as one virtual switch right ?
Thanks
MAhesh

Ofcourse yes. it is like connecting two ports a single switch to each other.
