Hi,
Can i replace 48 ports switch into the existing 24 ports stacked switches. Models are same only ports are different. Will it work? How it will be when master of 24 port switch applies config to the member of 48 ports switch? Thanks in advance.

Just make sure all switches have the same code, once you provision the new switch, swap it then the stack applies the provisioned config to the replacement switch.
Switch(config)# no switch id provision WS-C2960X-24PD-L
Switch(config)# switch id provision WS-C2960X-48PD-L
I hope this helps. Good luck!
