StackWise Source Stripping for Multicast

Question on the behavior of StackWise and the use of source stripping for Multicast. What are the theoretical maximum multicast only bandwidth capabilities for the stack (in this example let's say Stackwise 80)? Would we assume 40G or 20G total for sources?

Also when a multicast source is sent out to the interconnect can either outbound rings be utilized or is there a predetermined path?
Example stack member 2 has a multicast packet. Can it first go to stack member 1 and or member 3 to start the traversal of the ring or is this limited such as stack member 2 streams will always flow to stack member 3 and so on?)

All white papers and documents found thus far do not seem to point out exactly how multicast flows in regular Stackwise environments with source stripping limitations minus that they will traverse the entire ring. How they decide the traversal path is not made entirely clear.
