Stackwise Virtual: Change domain ID.

What is the process for changing the domain ID of an existing Stackwise Virtual stack?  Is it similar to VSS or is there a different method?  Can you just change the domain ID and reload the stack?

Have never done it with StachWise virtual but if the commands are available, you can probably change it. If this is in production, it will cause downtime as the switches have to reboot. So, make sure it is done in a maintenance window. I think you have the option of "y" or "n" before reloading.

switch virtual domain x
switch convert mode virtual

Thanks Reza, however that command set is for VSS. I don't think those commands are available for Stackwise Virtual.

I see. So, you have 2 stacks connected together with identical domain ids?

That's what I'm trying to avoid.  These stacks are already configured and halfway into production, but not yet connected.  I know that the domain IDs need to be unique and that it will require at minimum a reload.  I would like to know if it is as simple as changing the domain ID and reloading, or will I need to remove the stackwise virtual config, reload, reconfigure and reload again.

Thanks

I think you can change the domain ID as long that does not conflict with any part of other SVL domains in the network.

to be safe side - take the config back and do the in maintenance window.
