static routing on 2960S?

Hi,

I'm trying to setup static routing between VLANs on a WS-C2960S-24TS-L.  I installed firmware 15.0(2)SE which is supposed to be able to do that but when I try to configure 'ip routing' the command isn't recognized.

I did the same some time ago with WS-C2960G-24TC-L and that one works fine.

Any idea what might be wrong

The only thing I can think of is that the Universalk9 image doesn't contain static routing, altough according to the release notes it should be able to do that. It's the only image I can download for the C2960S anyway.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

have you changed the sdm to sdm prefer lanbase-routing  and reloaded ? ---> sh sdm prefer

For the records: the following will enable static routing on a C2960

# config t

(config)# sdm prefer lanbase-routing

(config)# exit

copy run t

reload
