Hi,
We have few problems in our LAN. Few associates are connecting to 2 active ports using a network cable. These 2 ports are in 2 different VLAN's. Also they are connecting the Phone switch port to other network port instead of connecting to laptop/system. This has become a concern for us. My question is, is there any possibilty of loop when 2 active network ports are connected back to back or cross cabled? will enabling BPDU guard will resolve this? FYI, all ports has STP port-fast enabled.
Thanks,
Sridhar

Hello Sridhar,
>> will enabling BPDU guard will resolve this?
This is the right tool to handle creative cabling made by end users.
You can enable bdpu guard globally for all portfast enabled port with a single line global command..
Do not consider BPDU filter that would create worse problems!
Hope to help
