Stress test a connection between sites

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea on how I could stress test my network links. So we have a new building and we have installed a 10G link from one of out buildings to this new building. The link is fiber. What is the best way to test this for maximum throughput. 

I am also looking into doing the same for my external links to the ISP so any ideas would be really helpful

For 10g, you may new a dedicated hardware traffic generator unless you can source from multiple hosts which can an aggregate of 10g.
