Sup720 3BXL to Sup720 3CXL

Hi, Currently I have a 6509 switch on the 3BXL sup720 card. I wish to replace the 3BXL to the 3CXL sup720 card.

Can I copy the existing config on the 3BXL to a CF card and copy the config to the new 3CXL card? Will there be any issue?

Hello Alan,

there shouldn't be any issues.

As an additional step you can upload your startup-config to a TFTP server so that any possible problem with CF formatting then writing with the old Supervisor and then reading on the new can be avoided.

Are you going to install DFC3CXL on all linecards ?
