Hi, Today I realized that our backbone module 3 has down. We were using port chanel with module 3 and 4 therefore ıt wasnt a problem for us. So What can I do for that? Can I take it off and put it on while switch is running?

I used show module command;

@recep_ali_sevim ,

All Cat 6K support online insertion and removal of second Supervisor and modules. While @balaji.bandi is being understandably cautious by suggesting a maintenance window, you should be able to remove and reinsert the module in slot 3 with no downtime.

So now you have two options .

Take the maintenance window, Pull the Module out and re-insert and test it.

Make sure you capture all the Logs from console.

No, something is not right.  Even if the Supervisor card is in ROMMON the output would at least show a MAC address.  For something to show up with a NULL MAC address means something else.

Console into the Supervisor card to capture the entire boot-up process and re-seat the line card.

While waiting for access to the line card, remotely reboot the line card by powering OFF and on the slot and watch the logs.

If rebooting the line cards remotely is not possible, let me know.  I have a few more tricks to find out the history logs.

 - Also connect a console before re-inserting and then follow-up on messages displayed such as module availability or self-test errors (possibly). Also check the led which denotes the module-status.
