Support for IPSEC tunnel on Cisco 3750G-48TS’s and 3750X-48T-L’s

We have Cisco 3750G-48TS’s and 3750X-48T-L’s running 12.2(58)SE.

I need to confirm if crypto IPSEC site to site/LAN to LAN tunnels are supported on the 3750's in any IOS version.

When I checked feature navigator as well and saw IPSEC feature is supported from 15.x onwards on 3750's.

I searched and found following URLS's  suggesting IPSEC support and support for protocols IKEv2/IPSECv3 is now available on 3750’s after 15.0(2)SE release, however is that only for OSPFv3 IPSEC authentication support in control plane or IOSEC tunnels are now supported for normal traffic (to be encrypted) in data plane ?

In-case it is supported from 15.0(2)SE release, are we aware of any performance/resource issues wrt IPSEC tunnels on this platform ?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Regards

Akhil

Hi,

The information from the link appears to be all OSPF ver3 and IPv6 related.  If you need to implement IPsc/VPN, you still need to use routers and not a switches.
