SVI - Doubts

Hi, people 

 

I am in the my city and i want to access a switch remotely.
is it enough know IP management of the switch ?

Sorry if I did not understand you.

Now, nobody should be able to access a private network from the outside, unless you allow it through a static ACL or through a VPN.

Once inside the private network, you can access an L3 switch pointing to any ip configured in an SVI. To access an L2 switch, you must point to the ip configured in the administration vlan interface.

Yes it is providing the address and port of the switch is reachable from where you are trying to access it

No, its necessary considers somethings, like:

You should connect at the private internal network that your switch is connected. If your dont have a connect, your have other methods, like a vpn client-server, a nat of entry and others.

Maybe, maybe not. Depends whether you have a topology which supports and allows two way communication between the two hosts and also depends on how the remote device has been secured for remote access.
