I am ordering cisco 2960 series.  I need the following features only.  please recommend which IOS i should order with it.  LAN_Base or LAN_Lite ?

LAN Lite is always very limited in terms of features and doesn't give you much more then basic switching. For 802.1X you find the available features in the config-Guide:
