This morning while getting ready to upgrade the IOS on a 3560 switch at one of my clients, I was in configuration mode. I have two image files loaded into flash, the old and the upgrade image.
I then tried to add the "boot system flash:<imagefile> command to the configuration. The switch accepts the command, but thereafter when I perform a "sho run | i boot, the boot system flash statement is not in the configuration.
I also looked doing a full show run. The boot system flash statement is simply not there.
Has anyone observed this behavior before. Thanks for any guidance.
