Forum,
I would like to ask for recommendations on a Cisco switch model that would be ideal for a branch office.
The requirements would need to be:
Gigabit Eth user ports.
10G ports for servers
Failover of power supplies (have at least 2 pwr supplies)
Run IOS or IOSXE (in other words not exclusively managed by web gui but has local console also)
POE + capable
L3 features
I would ask for recommendations for
offices with above 250 users..
office with less than 250 users,
and offices with less than say 25 people
Thank you in advance!
Kevin

Hello,
have a look at the Catalyst 9K series. They all have Gigabit ports and several models have 10G uplink ports.

what is the budget, what are you running in HQ ?
CAt 9300 is a good choice for the branch since you looking for Layer 3 features.
If only static routing, then consider Cat 9200 has PoE and static routing support.

How 10 Gbps ports? What physical connection, copper, fibre, DAC?

Be specific, 15.4wac, 30.0wac, 60.0wac or 90.0wac?

Be specific, OSPF, RIPv1/RIPv2, EIGRP/BGP, VRF/MPLS?
Finally, what is the budget allocated for this spending spree?
