Hello,
We had a 3850 series stack before, but we made the switches standalone later. The command "no switch xxx provision" was used and it was successful but when we do "sh switch", it shows :
Switch# Role Mac Address Priority Version State
------------------------------------------------------------
*1 Active d42c.44a7.9380 1 V02 Ready
2 Member 0000.0000.0000 0 0 Unprovisioned
In 2960 series switches, the second Statement is not mentioned once the switch is removed from the stack.
Can anyone please help me on this? is there any other command , I can use. This is not affecting the functionality of our environment but cosmetically doesn't seems correct.

Hi
Yes its cosmetic could be the software , have you rebooted its since it was removed that should fix it ?
what you have done is right correct command there is no other , the issue may be related to the software version

The switch was reloaded by a collegue but the the statement persisted..I applied the commands once again and I reloaded and it worked now..There is no "unprovisioned" now. The commads I typed are :
1) no switch 2 provision
2) switch 1 priority 1

if that doesn't work you may have to change the software code to get rid of it , what are you currently running on it ?
