Hi,
i have few questions about pkg file when install new IOS
1.
request platform software package clean switch all file flash:
This is the command to remove pkg files in order to free more mem for installing.
i want to pre-load bin file to the switch a day ahead before maintenance window. Can the switch run as expect without pkg file?
2. If I dont run the command in #1 first and transfer bin file, will the bin file be removed if i execute the command?
Thank you.

Tried it today. When remove package, Cisco knows which packages are being used and will NOT remove them. So it's safe to remove packages and free up mem. Then copy bin file to switch before the maintenance window.
PS 3850 firmware version is 16.12.x
