Switches performance - full 10G and copper SFP's

Hi, I could not find 10Gbase-T SFP in Cisco, does Cisco have this? What about Cisco SFP-H10GB-CU1M....?

Also could someone please tell if below switches can be used for 10G use on all 24/48 ports? That is can the end user connect 10G devices on all ports and will the switch function fully?

Hi there,

Cisco does not offer a 10G UTP SFP.

The 3850 models you specify do support SFP+ modules so all ports can operate at 10G.

The C9300-24UX model is a mGig UTP switch and can support 10G using Cat6 cables.

if you dont have fibre and cant put it in you could buy a 10gb copper faced switch like 3064 its DC switch but just as an example , there is other 10GB copper switches , use CAT7 cables with it or use the switch selector and find another 10GB copper face campus or dc switch that suits

C9300-24UX-A is a 24-port switch copper switch.  No mention of SFP+ optional module.  So the answer is no. 

WS-C3850-24XS-S is a 24-port SFP/SFP+

WS-C3850-48XS-S is a 48-port SFP/SFP+ switch.  

If the question is can the WS-C3850-24XS-S &/or WS-C3850-48XS-S support SFP+, then the answer is YES.  

But if the question is whether the client can push 10 Gbps worth of traffic, then the answer is no. 

If you want hit-less 10 Gbps traffic then you need to look at Nexus.

As per Cisco presales:

The switching capacity of  48 port cisco switch is 1280 Gbps and 24 port cisco switch is 640Gbps and can operate on 10G full capacity.

Regarding copper 10G SFP, Cisco still does not have it but has an alternate solution of SFP-H10GB-CU3/5M (Cisco SFP+ Copper Twinax  direct-attach cables - suitable for very short distances and offer a cost-effective way to connect within racks and across adjacent racks. Cisco offers passive Twinax cables in lengths of 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4 and 5 meters, and active Twinax cables in lengths of 7 and 10 meters).
