I have a 3560c. The ports are configured for vlan A. There is DHCP snooping enabled on the switch. I consoled into the switch. From the switch I can ping the router, Internet, DHCP servers and the DNS servers. When I connected my laptop to the switch, I get an IP address from the DHCP server. But I can not get to the Internet. I tried to ping the router and Internet, but nothing. I then changed the port access to vlan B. The connection to the Internet and router was restored. What could have caused the issue ?

Hi,
This sounds like your router cannot reach your vlan "A" subnet. Probably a missing ip route.
Could you share more information re the switch and router configs and my be a network diagram.
Regards
Alex

Hi,
Thanks for responding. When I was consoled into the switch I was able to ping the default gateway.
