Switching configuration

Dears

I have 3 vlans

Vlan 10

Vlan 20

Vlan 30

and a printer

My requirement is that the 3 vlan can not communicate with each other but they (3 vlans) can access the conman printer

how i will configure

My Vlan 10 is 10.0.0.0/8 network

       Vlan 20 is 11.0.0.0/8 network

       Vlan 30 is ;12.0.0.0/8 network

and comman printer is IP based printer and IP of Printer is 192.168.1.1/24

Please solved the problem and please send the configuration file.

Hello Muraripadhan!

First i would like to know if your switch is it a L3 switch?, because in that case you need configurate a route to the network 192.168.1.0/24.

for example #ip route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 10.0.0.1


to be able to reach the printer, in other case you need a device L3 (router), to implement the route to the network.

And for last maybe apply a ACL´s to filter the devices than can reach the printer.

for example #access-list 10 permit tcp host 10.0.0.10 host 192.168.1.1

                    #access-list 10 deny ip any any

sir how i will stop communication between only two vlans

Suppose i have 4 vlans

Vlan 10 (IP Address - 192.168.1.0/24)

Vlan 20  (IP Address - 192.168.2.0/24)

Vlan 30  (IP Address - 192.168.3.0/24)

Vlan 40   (IP Address - 192.168.4.0/24)

Sir i want to stop vlan 10 and vlan 30 communication.

But vlan 20 will communicate with Vlan 10, Vlan 30 & Vlan 40

vlan 40 will communicate with Vlan 10, Vlan 30 & Vlan 20

vlan 10 will communicate with Vlan 20, & Vlan 40

vlan 30 will communicate with  Vlan 20 & Vlan 40
