Hello Karthik,
is anything connected to the port?
the message says that the maximum electrical current that can be sent out of the port has been detected.
If nothing is connected to the port I would say it is a bug as an unconnected port is an open circuit for POE.
If a POE device is connected to the port, the message may be meaningful/true
Hope to help
Giuseppe

Hello Karthik,

HI Karthik,
This error indicates that PD is drawing over-current more than allowed/supported per IEEE 802.3af standard.
Whats the firmware version you are running?
If you are running any thing lesser than 12,2(55)SE3 , 12.2(58)SE1 then I request you to kindly discus with your account team and plan for the upgrade.
Regards
Inayath
