I have flat network
There is no VLAN in this everyone is connected to Default VLAN
In this network most of time packet should be drop i can not ping the switches but there is no problem with end user.
Switch#show int trunk
f0/1 802.2q native VLAN 1
Due to all packet are going through default native valn it may causes problem or other problem

Hello,
although it is not good practice to have everything going over the default VLAN 1, it is quite a common setup, especially in smaller networks.
If you cannot ping the switch (what platform/model ?), make sure that you either have 'ip routing' enabled gobally, or the 'ip default-gateway' command configured. Basically, the IP address of your VLAN 1 interface is just like any other IP address. What do you have connected to the switch ?

Using the default vlan (vlan 1) is not a good practice and never recommended by security purposes, now if you are not able to ping the switch, you should see if the interface vlan has a correct IP address and subnet related to same prefix like the computers.
Now what you mean about: it should be dropping packets?
