Switchover supervisor C6K

hello,

how i can make switchover and reload between two supervisor of C6509 !

and if i make switchover did automatically the standby supervisor will be active and then will return !

Not sure if i understood the question correctly, you would like switch over from Active to Stanby and back it back to Active when active back ?

 

the switch over need to done manually, by reloading or force switch over. explain below as steps : (hope is that what you looking ?)

i have a switch witch one supervasor and i will integrate a other supevisor and create HA

So i would know in Catalyst should choose the mode ( RPR, RPR+ or SSO) or it's a optional and there are another confige

and what's is the steps ?

Hi,

When you have 2 sups in a chassis, you want to configure them as SSO. This way, the failover is very fast. Once configured, verify with the command "show redundancy". One sup should be active and the backup sup should be in "hot standby" mode.

must be SSO mode ?

there are no other mode recommanded !

There is RPR too but SSO works best.

Most cases  i have used  NSF/SSO - Cat 6K with Sup 720 and Su2T
