Hi there,
Thanks for reading.
I have an access switch which is dropping TONS of packets. My GUESS is I've mismanaged vlan participation and ports are receiving packets for a vlan they don't have configured. Here's a sample of the symptom:
Vlan111 is up, line protocol is up
Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
0 unknown protocol drops
FastEthernet0/1 is up, line protocol is up (connected)
Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
0 unknown protocol drops
FastEthernet0/2 is up, line protocol is up (connected)
Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 761569
0 unknown protocol drops
FastEthernet0/3 is up, line protocol is up (connected)
Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 753136
0 unknown protocol drops

FastEthernet0/5 is up, line protocol is up (connected)

I also see you have gig trunks. If you have gig hosts sending to these FE ports, transient congestion might be the cause of the egress drops.
