Hi Folks,
i have a problem and don't find any information about this error message %SYS-4-SUPERVISOR_ERR:Forwarding engine IPX too short error counter = 2311998
= xxxx
We don't have IPX enabled on the hole network.
Can anybody helps me to find a solution for this.I have tested with set errordetection portcounters disable this works but this not the result that i need.

These messages indicate that the switch forwarding engine receives an IPX packet of a length that is less than the minimum allowed length and then drops the packet. In code earlier versions the forwarding engine silently drops the packet and counts the packet in the forwarding engine statistics. In later code this message is recorded in the syslog once every 30 minutes IIRC.

I could very well be a printer or other device on the network. A sniffer could reveal the source.
