syslogging levels

I am configuring some isr's for syslog activity.  I am setting logging history and facility for informational.  i am wondering if informational level also includes the levels before it(alerts, critical, etc... as shown below)so that those messages will get logged to.  or does it include just informational level messages.  if so, how could it be done so that all levels could be logged. 

<0-7>          Logging severity level

  alerts         Immediate action needed           (severity=1)

  critical       Critical conditions               (severity=2)

  debugging      Debugging messages                (severity=7)

  emergencies    System is unusable                (severity=0)

  errors         Error conditions                  (severity=3)

  informational  Informational messages            (severity=6)

  notifications  Normal but significant conditions (severity=5)

  size           Set history table size

  warnings       Warning conditions                (severity=4)

When you specify a logging severity level for syslog you get messages at that level and at all levels more serious. So if you set the level to informational then you get all levels except for level 7 (debugging).
